Thermal & Catalytic Sciences Symposium (TCS) 2018 – Oct. 8-10

The Thermal and Catalytic Sciences Symposium has been held every other year following the first symposium held in 2010 at Iowa State University with the goal of focusing on thermochemical biomass research and development and providing early career scientists and engineers an opportunity to present their research and interact with the senior researchers in the community.

Directions

Participants can fly to either Atlanta, Birmingham or Montgomery to come to Auburn. However, we suggest flying into ATL and either renting a vehicle or taking a shuttle. Shuttles are available only from Atlanta airport and run almost every hour. The detailed schedule can be found at https://groometransportation.com/auburn/#gt-auburnsched-1. Below is the information for those who wants to drive to Auburn.

From Atlanta & Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson Airport:

Take I-85 South towards Montgomery. Travel approximately 103 miles, and take Exit 51 (Auburn). At the end of the ramp, bear right onto College Street. Travel another 3.5 miles. The Hotel and Conference Center is located on the right side of the street, directly across from Draughon Library.

Please keep in mind Auburn University is in Central time zone and Atlanta is in Eastern Time zone so you want to factor that while purchasing airlines ticket.

From Montgomery:

Take I-85 North towards Auburn. Travel approximately 49 miles, and take Exit 51 (Auburn). At the end of the ramp, make a left onto College Street. Go approximately 3.5 miles. The Hotel and Conference Center is located on the right-hand side of the street, directly across from Draughon Library.

From Birmingham:

Take US Highway 280 East approximately 110 miles. Make a right onto Highway 147, and follow it five miles to Auburn. The Hotel and Conference Center is located on the left, directly across from Draughon Library.
